PartMiner Inc., New York, has named Linda Goodspeed president. Goodspeed will oversee the online exchange's day-to-day operations, while Dan Nissanoff, chairman and chief executive, will focus more on strategic alliances, said chief marketing officer Bill Barron.

Goodspeed was most recently the general manager of General Electric's appliance group in Louisville, Ky., and worked for nearly a decade in the automotive industry, holding titles at Ford and Nissan.

Goodspeed has a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
