Online application
automates ready-to-ship process, provides purchase order
and shipment status visibility
Downers Grove, IL - NTE,
Inc. today announced that it has implemented its NTE
ViewTM solution for Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT).
The retailer has more than 1,400 Target, Marshall Field's
and Mervyn's retail stores that will benefit from the
Web-based transportation application.
NTE View is a new enterprise-wide
solution that enables supply chain partners to submit
ready-to-ship information electronically, allowing for
more timely, informed business decisions to maximize
supply chain efficiencies and performance.
"NTE is helping us
better manage our logistics function, streamline interactions
with our vendors, and produce significant savings,"
said Steve Carter, director of domestic transportation
operations for Target. "But the greater value comes
in the form of enhanced visibility and control of our
supply chain."
"Target is clearly
demonstrating that companies can dramatically improve
their supply chain operations with an internet-based,
technology-driven transportation solution," said
Jim Davidson, NTE's president and chief executive officer.
"The opportunity to use information strategically
to make improved transportation decisions, coupled with
