SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – iCrossing, a global digital
marketing company, announced today that Don Scales,
president, has taken on the additional role of CEO and
will be responsible for worldwide operations for the
company. Previously, Scales served as president and COO
of iCrossing.
iCrossing founder and CEO Jeffrey Herzog will continue
to guide the strategic direction of the company as vice
chairman of iCrossing’s board of directors.
Herzog founded iCrossing in 1998. The company has grown
from its roots as a search marketing agency to become a
$150 million global digital marketing company with 620
employees in 15 offices in the U.S. and Europe.
iCrossing’s client base includes over 40 Fortune 500
companies.
"We’ve come a long way in the past 10 years, but today
feels like a new beginning," said Herzog. "With Don as
CEO and more than 600 of the industry’s best and
brightest, iCrossing’s potential is unlimited."
"iCrossing was launched at a time when digital marketing
was undefined and unappreciated," said Richard
Rosenblatt, chairman, iCrossing. "Jeff recognized early
on that search would be at the center of digital
marketing and his vision and passion will continue to
drive iCrossing to become the leading digital agency.
Don’s operational accomplishments over the past two
years as president and COO, and his relationships with
clients and the growing team make him the ideal person
to lead the company through its next phase of growth."
Scales joined iCrossing in 2006 to increase bottom-line
profitability, streamline operations and improve the
overall efficiency of the company. He joined iCrossing
in March of 2006, teaming with Herzog to execute five
acquisitions over the last 24 months and drive organic
growth. He is an interactive industry veteran, with more
than 25 years as an executive manager.
Before joining iCrossing, Scales was CEO at Agency.com,
a full service interactive agency, where he managed all
aspects of the agency’s worldwide operations. Named one
of the top 25 "Who’s Who" newsmakers for 2000-2005 by
BtoB Magazine, Scales is a member of the Board of
Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas
and a member of the Internet Task Force for Make-A-Wish
Foundation of America. He has dual undergraduate degrees
in Chemical Engineering and Mathematical Physics, and a
master of science in chemical engineering from Rice
University; he also has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School.
