Mark Jennings is
Managing Partner and co-founder of Generation Partners.
Mr. Jennings is responsible for the overall strategic
direction, capital commitments and management of the Firm.
Mr. Jennings operates out of the Firm's Greenwich, CT
office.
Prior to founding Generation, Mr. Jennings spent nine
years at Centre Partners, a private investment firm
affiliated with Lazard Frères & Co., where he was elected
Partner in 1991 at the age of 29. Mr. Jennings began his
career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he advised companies
in the areas of financial strategy, public offerings,
mergers & acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.
Through Generation and predecessor firms, Mr. Jennings has
20 years of experience in private equity investing. Mr.
Jennings has served on the Board of Directors of 22
companies including: Sterling Infosystems - a leading
employment information company; Virtual Radiologic
Corporation (NASDAQ: VRAD) - the largest distributed
teleradiology company; Agility Recovery Solutions - a
leading disaster recovery provider; thePlatform - a
developer of digital content software solutions; MedVance
Institute - an education firm focused on healthcare
occupations; Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) - the world's largest
regional theme park company; Scientific Games (NASDAQ:
SGMS) - a world leader in the lottery industry; Snyder
Communications (NYSE: SNC) - a global direct marketing and
advertising company; Muzak - the nation's leading
background music provider; and inVentiv Health (NASDAQ:
VTIV) - a leading provider of sales, marketing and data
services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences
industries. Mr. Jennings also serves as the Chairman of
the Board of Post University, a 117 year-old
regionally-accredited University.
Mr. Jennings earned his MBA from the Harvard Graduate
School of Business in 1986 and earned a Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honors from
The University of Texas at Austin in 1984, where he
graduated second in his class and received the
University's Rhodes Scholarship nomination. |
